Algorithmic Performance
Algorithmic composition can be divided into two cases: algorithmic notation and algorithmic performance. In the case of algorithmic notation, the score is calculated in advance and faithfully reproduced by performers. In the case of algorithmic performance, the algorithm is defined so that performers can calculate it in real time. This allows the algorithm to incorporate features of the performance space, interpersonal relationships, perceptions, intuitions, and so on.
