People
- Robert Esler— percussionist. We've
been collaborating on a game for percussion and electronics. Not only is he an amazing
percussionist, but he is great with technology.
- Robert Wannamaker—
composer. Chinary Ung once told me that he thought Rob and I were both crazy. I
think in Rob's case this is definitely a good thing. He's one of the most innovative
composers I know.
- Derek Keller— composer.
- Tracy McMullen— saxophone
improviser and scholar. When I say that Tracy is an improviser and scholar, I don't
mean that she's a scholar who improvises on the side, or an improviser who dabbles
at scholarship. Nope, she excels at both.
- Yoon Lee— painter.
- P.D. Magnus— philosopher, web
cartoonist, font designer, and guy I'm married to.
Places
- UCSD Music Department— where I
am pursuing my doctorate.
- CRCA— Center for Research in
Computing and the Arts, where I've been known to hang out and take up studio
space.
- Lestat's— a 24-hour coffee shop with
free wireless internet. I'd never really accomplish anything without it.
- Twiggs— another coffee shop. Alas, they
close at 11ish, but they do have free wireless internet. They're a good
place to go if you have to be someplace in the morning. They'll kick you out and
send you home to bed.
